This memorial page is for the cenotaph with her name and date of birth found on the stone of her first husband and infant son at the United States Military Academy Post Cemetery. Her remains were cremated, but are not interred at this site.

On August 5, 1936 as Catherine S. Eastburn, she married Eugene V. Reece at Cornwall, New York.
She married Henry Boswell about 1942 per his obituary: "He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years Catharine Eastburn Boswell."

She was a member of one of the oldest families in Rockland County and was a granddaughter of Henry R. Sloat. She was a descendant of Commodore John Drake Sloat, who raised the flag of the United States of America in California on July 14, 1846. Her engagement to Lieut. Eugene Virgil Reece, United States Army was announced on July 4, 1936 at Sloatsburg, New York.

Catherine Eastburn Boswell was born in Suffern, New York, the daughter of Samuel Lloyd Eastburn and Carrie Sloat Eastburn. She was a member of the Episcopal church and a trustee of the University of the South at Sewanee. She died at age 83 on Sunday, January 6, 2002, at the Blumenthal Jewish Home. She was a resident of Greensboro, North Carolina. Memorial services were held at St. Francis Episcopal Church at 3506 Lawndale Drive in Greensboro with the Rev. Michael Schnatterley officiating. [She was predeceased by son, John Eastburn Boswell (1947-1994)]. Survivors included her husband, Henry Boswell Jr. [USMA Class of 1941]; one daughter and son-in-law of Greensboro; son and daughter-in-law of Virginia Beach, Virginia and son and daughter-in-law of Henderson, North Carolina; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Memorial contributions were suggested to a church of choice in her memory. Arrangements were by Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home of Greensboro.
