SMALLIDGE, June - age 92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. A Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Brad Button officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2011. Memorial contributions may be made to the Davison Library or Eastside Senior Center. June was born in Flint, MI on June 29, 1919, daughter of the late Luther and Josephine (Woodcock) Stites. She married Durwood "George" Smallidge in February of 1948. George preceded her in death July 11, 1983. Always putting her family first, June enjoyed spending time with them at her cottage on Rose Lake. She was an avid bowler and gardener. June retired from AC Spark Plug after 30 years of service and was a member of UAW Local # 651. June is survived by her children, Dale and wife Jan Capello-Maki, Amy Smallidge and Patrick Beck, Teresa Smallidge; grandchildren, Erin (Jim) Lane, Melanie Smallidge and their mother, Barb Smallidge, grandchildren, Molly (Cameron) Rondeau, Lisa (Steve) Haddrill, Heather (Dawn Crawford) Brien; great grandchildren, Brady Durwood Lane, Tucker James Lane, Tula June Rondeau, Keri Haddrill, Emily Haddrill, Aaron Hansen, Owain Van Campen; nieces and nephews, Larry Morton, Durward Cushman, David Smallidge, Darwin Smallidge, Doug Smallidge, Dennis Stites, Beverly Frances Green, Linda Neeley, Pat Coffin, Patty Stites and JoAn Oesterricher. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald and Loren Stites. June's family gives a special thanks to Dr. R. Peddireddy, The Pines of Lapeer and A-1 Hospice of Davison.
