Hazel L. Dunphy, 82 of Piqua, died on Monday October 16, 2006 at 2:50 pm in the Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born in Williamstown, Kentucky on February 5, 1924 to the late Achel and Grace (Miller) Turner. She married Paul E. Dunphy on February 21, 1973 in Hamilton; and he survives.

Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles G. "Chuck" & Helen Turner of Knoxville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, granddaughter and caregiver Michelle & Blair Hampton of Hamilton, Tonya & Rusty Griffin of Hamilton, Kenneth Sapp of Hamilton, Mark D. Turner of Fairfield, Melissa O'Shea of Fairfield, Jodi Young of Lenoir City, Tennessee, Todd R. Kramer of Knoxville, Tennessee; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Joyce Fry of Supply, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Sedam, and two sisters, Edna Seirkert and Zella Anness.

Mrs. Dunphy was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church, graduated from Williamstown High School, and retired from Liberals Super Market after 28 years of service.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at 1:00 pm in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with the Rev. Fr. Angelo C. Caserta officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 pm in the funeral home.
