Vada L. Barnes, 85, Retired St. Francis medical transcriptionist, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene. Parents; Orlo and Neva Miller and brother Melvin. Vada is survived by her children; Larry Barnes, Mike Barnes, Charles (Jeananna) Barnes, Kenneth (Sheri) Barnes and Karen (Mark) McCorkle. 5 grandchildren; Clint McCorkle, Jacob Barnes, Kelsey McCorkle, Matthew Barnes and Logan Barnes. 2 great-grandchildren; Winnie and Felix. A family visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 30th at Baker Funeral Home - Wichita Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. May 1st at the First Mennonite Bretheren Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Wichita Art Museum or Botanica, The Wichita Gardens.
