CRESTLINE, Kansas - George Ralph "Shorty" Mosier, 85, Crestline, died at 7:56 am. Wednesday at Maude Norton Hospital, Columbus, after suffering an apperent heart attack at his home.
Mr. Mosier was born Nov. 9, 1910, in Cherokee County. He attended school in Crestline and high school at Riverton and Columbus. He had worked at Crestline Mercantile Co. for six years, at the Jayhawk Plant (Spencer Chemical) for 27 years, and for John Deere Company at Pittsburg. He later worked in the maintenance department at Pittsburg State University, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Crestline Christian Church.
He married Edna Mae Wells on Nov. 10, 1935, at Galena. She survives.
Additional survivors include four grandchildren and four great-grand-daughters.
Services will, be at 10:30. a.m. Saturday at Murdock Funeral Home, Columbus. The Rev. Doug Houdyshell and the Rev. Gene Wilson will officiate, music by Daniel Duncan and Paul Duncan. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Columbus.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Crestline Christian Church, in care of the funeral home.
