He retired after working over forty years as an auto technician for Berdine’s Auto Service in Marietta, OH. He was a very active member and trustee of the North Pleasants Apostolic Tabernacle Church in St. Marys, and was serving as the landscaper-in-charge for the church. He retired in 2017 as the church’s music director after serving 45 years.
Over the years, Bud had made several church mission trips to Haiti. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served as a Field Marshall Bugler.
Survivors other than his wife include three brothers, George Steven Adams, St. Marys, James Randall (Jennifer Grimes) Adams, Newport, and Denver C. Adams, St. Marys; six sisters, Sharon June Winland, St. Marys, Doreen Lee Freeman, VA, Judith Lynn Thompson, Williamstown, Crystal Dawn Barnes, St. Marys, Rebecca Louise Wright, Lawrenceville, IL, and Elizabeth Joy Peckens, St. Marys; two brothers-in-law, Ronald Wayne (Ann) Grimes, Lavalette, WV, and John Edmond (Kathy) Grimes, Jr., Elk Fork, WV; two sisters-in-law, Victoria Ann (Bob) Grimes Adams, St. Marys, and Dulcia Dawn Grimes James; and several nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Mada Jean Mallory, Akron, OH.
Services will be held Monday, April 30, 2018, at 11 A. M. at the North Pleasants Apostolic Tabernacle in St. Marys with Pastor Terry Lough officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Sistersville, WV, with military graveside rites. Ingram Funeral Home in St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.
