William “Bill” Wilson Boswell passed away at his home in Bartow. A native and life-long resident of Polk County, he was the son of the late C. A. “Bubba” Boswell and Isabelle Wilson and the grandson of the late Clarence A. and “Toggie” Boswell and Milton D. and Daphne Wilson. He was a graduate of Summerlin Institute in Bartow and Marion Military Academy in Alabama where he was a member of the tennis and cross country teams. After graduating from Marion, he continued his education at Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina. Bill was a fun-loving and caring person, stalwart in his love of God and commitment to his family. He is survived by his siblings Daphne Putnam (Tim), Valerie Butler (Joey), and C. A. “Lex” Boswell, III (Karen). Nieces: Melissa Butler Witmer (Chris), Kristina Butler Parker (Duane), Laura Valerie Putnam, Sarah Katherine Putnam, and nephews: Raymond Dean Butler (Whittney) and Thomas Wilson Putnam. He is also survived by his greatnieces: Isabelle Margaret Witmer, Haylie Marie Parker, Victoria Lynn Parker and great-nephews: William Gavin Witmer and Hunter Kane Parker. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 205 E. Stanford Street, Bartow with the Reverend Robert E. Patrick, III, officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation, 1200 NW 78th Avenue, Suite 400, Miami, Florida 33126 or the ARP Church, Bartow, Florida.
