MONROE, La. -- Andrew Lewis Beaver, 76, a retired carpenter, died at 3:05 p.m. Monday in a West Monroe hospital. He was a resident of West Monroe.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Beaver; five sons, Hilton C., Audie, J. C. and Ollie Ray Beaver, all of West Monroe, and R. C. Beaver of Flint, Mich.; four daughters, Lois B. Harper and Eva Dell B. Sawyer, both of West Monroe, Ruby B. Ward of Los Angeles, Calif., and Rita Mae B. Peart of Bell Gardens, Calif.; six brothers, Zeb Beaver and Harvey Beaver, both of Pineville, Ernest Beaver of Pollock, Carlos Beaver of West Monroe, Luther Beaver of Columbus, Ga., and Alvin Beaver of Pitkin, Ill.; two sisters, Alpha B. Griffin of Pollock, and Bertha B. Coody of Ball, 23 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Brownville Baptist church, West Monroe. Burial will be in Hasley cemetery under direction of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home of Monroe. Officiating ministers will be Reverends Filer Seal, Kem Renfrow and Jimmy Sims.
