The Standard (Lykens, Pa.), November 30, 1928, "Martin Kiehl, aged 82, a life-long resident of Hegins, died at his home Friday, November 23rd, after suffering for one year with complications. Deceased was a faithful member of the Valley View Lutheran Church and was connected fraternally with the Valley View P. O. S. of A. [Patriotic Order Sons of America]. He is survived by his wife and one son. Funeral services in charge of the P. O. S. of A. were held in the Lutheran church, Tuesday morning, November 27th, at 10 A. M., Rev. Amon Lichty, Jr., officiating. Burial was made in the cemetery adjoining the church."

She and her husband appear on the 1891-1900 Communion List at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church.
