Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday for Walter E. Benzel, a former Fond du Lac resident who died Monday morning in Milwaukee.
Mr. Benzel, 71, of 3035 W. Wisconsin Ave., died at Deaconess Hospital. A native of Fond du Lac, he moved from here about 20 years ago.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Wisconsin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the chapel mortuary. Friends may call today at Brett Funeral Home, 2001 W. Wisconsin Ave.
Mr. Benzel, who was born June 2, 1898, is survived by his widow, the former Fern Hammen of Milwaukee; and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Scharfenberger, Fond du Lac, and Mrs. Edward Glaub, Minneapolis, Minn.
