Age 60. Passed away unexpectedly April 9, 1961, at her home after a heart attack. Mrs. Smith was born in Underhill, Wis. on April 13, 1900, formerly lived in Crandon, Wis. and had resided in Racine since 1918. In Racine, on Sept. 16, 1953, she was married to Francis Smith. she was a member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, the Priscilla Circle of the church and the Racine Chapter of American War Mothers. Surviving are her husband, Francis Smith; two sons, Donald Trudeau and Norman Trudeau, both of Racine; one daughter, Mrs. Lyman (LaVerne) Larson of Racine; 12 grandchildren; five brothers, Ewald and Herman Tromp, both of New York, Ervin Tromp of Evannsville, Ind., Alfred Tromp of Wautoma, Wis. and Ernest Tromp of Rhinelander, Wis.; one sister, Mrs. Einar (Edna) Christensen of Los Angeles, Calif., many nieces and nephews. Her former husband, Edward J. Trudeau, preceded her in death on July 26, 1951. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2 p.m., in the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, corner of Washington and Blaine Aves., Rev. Ervin Bondo officiating with Intern Dave Wenger assisting. Interment will be in West Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wilson Funeral Home, 1139 Blaine Ave,. Tuesday after 4 p.m. and during the evening. Wednesday morning the late Mrs. Smith will be taken to the church to lie in state from noon until time of services.
