Survivors include a step-son, Clinton H. "Buddy" Godown, Jr. of Florida; a step-daughter, Darlene Harvey of Florida; several step-grandchildren including Dawn Franklin of Greenville; several step-great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Marvin and Mary Alice Godown of Greenville; and three sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Christian of Ansonia, Doris Godown of Greenville, Nina Ruth Payne of Heritage, Tenn.; several nieces, nephews, and good friends. She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Sharon Baker, three brothers, and two sisters.
Mrs. Godown was a jewelry sales associate for over fifty-six years having been associated with Potasky and Samuel's jewelry stores.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 1, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00-2:00 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity.
