Debra Kaltz of Caro, age 62, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Debra was born February 21, 1956 in Hamtramck, the daughter of the late Ray and Stefanie (Bratkowski) Davison, was a 1974 graduate of Stevenson High School in Sterling Heights, and later received her certificate in phlebotomy and degree as a medical assistant. She was united in marriage with Walter Kaltz on May 9, 1975 in Utica, and he survives. Debra was a member of Woman’s Life and participated with Tuscola County Relay for Life for many years. Her true gift was her limitless ability to care for others, and she remained deeply committed to her family and community. She was an animal lover and enjoyed crocheting and arranging flowers.
Debra is survived by her loving husband, Walter Kaltz of Caro; her children, Jennifer Kaltz, and James Kaltz, both of Caro; one sister and her husband, Karen & Jake Dasho of Kingston; several nieces and nephews; and many furry grandkids.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m.to 4:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Walter Kaltz, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
