William Henry Hook was born at Bridgewater, England, March 26, 1846, and died at his home in Burlingame, Kansas, at 6:30 am August 12, 1914. He was the son of Henry and Jane Hook and the last of a family of ten children. He came to America in 1870 and lived in Pennsylvania and illinois where he was engaged in mining. He then moved to a farm seven miles northwest of Osage City. In 1874 he was married to Mary Ann Prosser, to which union no children were born. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Hook. Mr Hook was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Osage City.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock in Burlingame
