Arvel Odell Hall, age 91, a lifetime Boggy Depot, OK resident was born on Tuesday, February 1, 1927, to George Washington "Bud" and Nettie L. (Jackson) Hall, at Boggy Depot, OK. Arvel passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Denison, TX.

He attended Rock Creek and Tushka schools. Arvel was a retired mail carrier for the United State Postal Service and longtime employee at Brown's Funeral Service. Arvel proudly served his country in The Army during the Korean War. He married Helen Juanita (Leuty) on Thursday, December 15th, 1951 at DeQueen, AR. They had 54 wonderful years of marriage before her passing on February 6, 2006.

Arvel was a longtime member of Blackjack Baptist Church. and longtime song leader, Deacon and Sunday School teacher at multiple local churches. He enjoyed witnessing and preaching about Jesus Christ. Arvel loved ranching, farming, and any work outside. He was active and busy, usually in the service of others.

Arvel is survived by his children; David Hall and wife Diann of Boggy Depot, OK, Cheryl Southard and husband Jim of Boggy Depot, OK; grandson, Ryan Hall and wife Lauren of Houston, TX; great grandchildren, Barrett Hall of Houston, TX, Andrew Hall of Houston, TX, Caroline Hall of Houston, TX; step grandchildren, Krista Ramirez and husband Lino of Durant, OK, Stephanie Self and husband James of Eufaula, OK, Toby Brewster and wife Jennie of Idabel, OK, Brittany Davis and husband Davey of Durant, OK; brother, George Hall and wife Eva Mae of Boggy Depot, OK, sisters, Irene Hall Gillestie of Canon City, CO, Olive Nuttall of Dierks, AR; step great grandchildren, Demian Ramirez of Durant, OK, Mariana Ramirez of Durant, OK, Cason Brewster of Idabel, OK, Coy Brewster of Idabel, OK,Katelyn Self of Durant, OK, Kyndal Self of Eufaula, OK; special friend, Janie Cunningham of Tushka, OK; Along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Arvel is preceded in death by his parents, George and Nettie L. (Jackson) Hall; wife, Helen Hall, grandson, Sean Hall; brothers, Leroy Hall, Monk Hall, Jim Hall; sisters Bonnie Crane, Leoma Dollar.
