Little River - Wesley Glynn Borchert, 91, Little River, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Woodland Villages, Oconto. Wesley was born June 18, 1926 in the Town of Little River to the late George and Frances (Pasterski) Borchert. He married Violet O'Kon on September 21, 1946. Wesley served in the US Coast Guard from June 17, 1943 to February 1, 1946 during WWII. He served on the USS Muskogee PF-49 in the north and south Pacific. He was honorably discharged as a Seaman First Class. Wesley and Violet farmed in the Town of Little River from the time they were married until 1986. Wesley also drove bus for Jim Lane for thirty years, after which he worked for Bond Pickle Co. Wesley was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Marinette.

Wesley is survived by his wife, Violet Borchert, Oconto; a daughter, Yvonne Banach, Peshtigo; two sons, Howard (Paulette) Borchert, AR; Raymond (Karen) Borchert, Oconto; four grandchildren, Howard Borchert Jr., George Borchert, Melissa Fischer, Wesley (Lisa) Borchert; thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son and four brothers and four sisters.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 7 PM Monday, May14, 2018. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, May 15, from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Mathey officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery with Military Rites by all Oconto Veteran Organizations.
