Elmer Rachel was born to Johnnie and Annie Rachel, He was a veteran of World War 1 and lived in Gorman, Texas for many years before moving to Bedford, Texas in 1983. At the time of his passing he is survived by his wife of 63 year Ruby of Bedford;a son Jimmy and his wife Karen. A daughter Bobbie Payton of Fort Worth;3 grandsons, Jay Rachel of Arlington, Jay Payton of Dallas, and Jerre Payton of Fort Worth;3 great grandchildren Jermeiah, Jonathan, and Katie all of Fort Worth. He was a kind and loving man that touched the hearts of many.
