My "MJ"
my granddaughter.........
Marissa Jane was named for her Gx2 grandmother Lura Jane Hudson. There were 7 "Jane" namesakes in our family including me and Marissa and Marissa was proud to be one of them. However, her friends, of whom she had many, all called her "MJ". Marissa was my first born granddaughter. Any grandparent knows how special a "first" can be when we are talking grandchildren. She was outgoing, and beautiful but had a beautiful soul also. She wanted to take care of anyone suffering in any way. She loved others and giving of herself to them. Helping those who needed it most is what she was about. Marissa had a very strong will and she did what she thought should be done. She didn't need anyone's approval or permission. A bright and beautiful young woman, I adored her. She had serious health issues from about age 16 until her sudden and totally unexpected death. Her death was caused from medical negligence. I try not to dwell on that fact and instead try to think that God just could not wait another day for this beautiful and loving young lady. I think of her daily and will miss her always. So will many others - family and friends alike.
