Jackson M. Bane, 88, passed away May 12, 2018, at Glen A. Kiser Hospice House, Salisbury, NC. He was born in Pulaski, VA, to the late Mortimer G. and Naomi W. Bane. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ned Bane, Sr. Jack graduated from Pulaski High School, attended Tennessee Wesleyan College and National Business College, Roanoke, VA. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He owned and operated a retail store and rental business until he retired and moved to Albemarle, NC. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Albemarle NC.

Jack is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen C. Bane, son, Eric and wife Tina, and grandson, Robert Bane of the Richmond, VA area; sister-in-law Elizabeth Bane of Richmond, VA and two nephews Ned, Jr. and James Bane.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 18, at 2 pm at Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care Chapel, Albemarle, NC with Dr. Andy Jung and Dr. Roger Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care. A private burial service will be held the following day in the Bane Cemetery, White Gate, VA.
