CLYDE - Thelma Mae Driggers, 97 of Coleman and formerly of Clyde, died Sunday at a Coleman medical center.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Clyde with Larry Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Driggers was born May 15, 1909 in Comanche County to William Moore and Margaret Adaline (Nelson) Cooper. She attended school in Trent. She was the widow of Ike Driggers, whom she married in September of 1932 in Trent. They moved to Clyde in 1943 from Roscoe. They lived in Odessa in the late 1950's and early 1960's before returning to Clyde. She had moved to Coleman from Clyde in August, 2006. Mrs. Driggers was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Clyde.

She is survived by two sons, Roland and wife Pauline Driggers of Valera and Marshall and wife Pam Driggers of Jal, NM; two daughters, Barbara Jones and husband Jess of Odessa and Margie Blalock and husband David of Clyde; one sister, Delphine Watson of Abilene; fourteen grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rose Weaver.

Visitation will be from 6 - 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
