Adrian died suddenly on July 18, 1941 in Asheville at the age of 48 of an "unknown acute condition," but "probably coronary occlusion." There is no record of his ever have left Buncombe County during his lifetime. The death certificate states that Adrian was interred at Riverside Cemetery in Asheville.
Ida Ruth lived until the age of 80 in Georgia, but there is no record she ever remarried.
