Irene F. (Roy) Dion, 66, of 9 Garden St., an avid bingo player, died Thursday in Lincoln Nursing Home in Worcester after an illness.
Her husband, Philip A. Dion, died in 1992. She leaves two sons, James A. Dion of Uxbridge and Peter J. Dion of Franklin; two brothers, Leopold J. Roy of Uxbridge and Lucien Roy of Fairfield, Calif.; two sisters, Theresa M. Bigwood of Uxbridge and Marie Y. Rivet of Linwood; uncles and aunts; nephews and nieces. She was born in Whitinsville, daughter of Jean F. and Leontine (Brochu) Roy, and lived in Linwood and in Uxbridge for the past 30 years.
She worked for 29 years at G.E. Telechron-Timex of Ashland, retiring in 1989.
Mrs. Dion was a member of St. Mary's Church.
She was an avid bingo player and enjoy polka dances.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 17, with a Mass at noon in Good Shepherd Church, 151 Linwood St., Linwood. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Road, is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Uxbridge Ambulance Fund, care of the Uxbridge Fire Station, South Main Street, Uxbridge, 01569.
