Enlisted on 24 Feb 1862 for the Confederacy from Georgia, as a Private in Company B, 18th Infantry Regiment Georgia.
Wounded on 01 June 1862 at Richmond, VA
Died of wounds Company B, 18th Infantry Regiment Georgia on 13 June 1862.

According to "Southerners at Rest", was wounded at the Battle of Seven Pines and died a short time later likely in a Richmond Hospital on June 13, 1862. He was buried in Soldiers Section P Lot 210 - Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia in an unmarked grave.
