Elder Reid B. Davis, 89 of Screven, died Sunday, May 20, 2018 after an extended illness. The Steeds, North Carolina native had lived in Wayne County for the past 45 years and was a member of Lake Chapel Primitive Baptist Church pastoring many Primitive Baptist Churches in North Florida and South Georgia and enjoyed woodworking. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Jewell Lucas Davis and several siblings.
Survivors are two sons, Robert "Bob" (Mary) Davis of Screven and Ronald (Patricia) Davis of Jacksonville, Florida; 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be at 2 P.M., Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Lake Chapel Cemetery with Elder Jason Deal officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
