He married Anna Maria "Mary" Koencher Rungen(born abt. 1810) in Germany before they emigrated to the US in 1836.
Came with husband, John Henry Voss, and child, Clara Caroline Voss b. 1836, to US in 1836 through Baltimore port. They settled in Krakow, Franklin Co., MO.

1.Clara Caroline Voss born April 1836 in Germany; she died in 1904 in Krakow, Franklin Co., Mo. She married (1) John Herman Runger and (2) Matthew Conrad Lause or Lampe.
