Donna was often the life of the party for the children at family holiday gatherings, spending hours in the basement with them coloring, bringing them small toys or treats, and even sneaking them forbidden snacks.
For close to 20 years, Donna lived as a companion and caregiver to her dear friend Mary Winfrey, with whom she developed a love of cats. They were constantly rescuing and homing strays and new litters. They were the crazy cat ladies of Vienna, VA.
Donna had many jobs over the years but found a home with Prison Fellowship Ministries of Lansdowne, VA. She was with them for 16 years until her poor health made it too difficult to continue work.
Donna may have been physically limited since her retirement, but she remained active by reaching out to family members and friends. She often would make a person's day brighter with a meme, gif, or article specially chosen with that person in mind.
She became a maven of on-demand viewing and amateur critic, regularly sharing her opinions and recommendations for old and new shows alike. To those lucky enough to receive Donna's recommendations: this weekend, why not pick out one or two of her favorite shows and hold a binge- watching session in her honor.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday May 20th, 2018 at Chapel Springs Church 11500 New Life Way Bristow, VA 20136.
