Maureen Anne Baillargeon, age 69, of Ellsworth, Wisconsin (formerly of Somerset, WI) passed away on May 7, 2018 from acute leukemia. She died surrounded by loving family at Brookside Brotoloc Health Care Home in Ellsworth where she has lived for the past 38 years. Maureen was born on February 12, 1949 in Stillwater, MN to A. Maurice and Lorraine (Cullen) Baillargeon. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making beautiful afghans for family and for the new babies. She made them with love, making sure the colors would be just right. Maureen also spent time scrap booking, making many beautiful memory books she liked to display. Bowling, going to the casino and eating out with the girls was a great treat for her. Maureen had a strong faith that she was taught at a young age, and held on to it her whole life. Her family was the joy of her life! She would not miss an event with her family for anything else in the world.


Maureen was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Maurice Joseph Baillargeon; sisters-in-law, Peggy Baillargeon and Bernadette Baillargeon; brother-in-law, David Griese.

Maureen is survived by eight siblings, Jerry (MaryLou) Baillargeon of Dresser, WI, Judy Griese of Armstrong, IA; Joe (Sheryl) Baillargeon of White Bear Lake, MN, Raymond (Terry) Baillargeon of Somerset, WI, Tony Baillargeon of Cave Creek, AZ, Mary (Ed) Casey of Eagle River, AK, Lee (Debbie) Baillargeon of Somerset, WI, Rita (Geof) Strom of St. Croix Falls, WI; cousin, Sharon Casey-Knutson of New Richmond, WI; her friend and caretaker, Debbie Roman of Ellsworth, WI. Also survived by all her nieces, nephews and many great nieces and nephews. The family gives a special thank you to the great staff who took care of Maureen over the years, you are appreciated so much.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Friday May 18, 2018 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Somerset, WI. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment at parish cemetery and luncheon to follow Mass.
