Betty Jane (Ruppert) Border, 80, died Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of Robert L. Border, who died November 20, 1994. Born May 21, 1926, in Washington Twp., York County, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Reba V. (Weidner) Ruppert, Sr. Mrs. Border was a member of Paradise ''Holtzschwamm'' U.C.C., Thomasville. Surviving are three stepsons, Robert E. Border of Wellsville, James L. Border of East Berlin, and Joe C. Border, Sr. of Wellsville; two stepdaughters, Faye P. Moody and Nancy E. Garner, both of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren; three great-greatgrandchildren; and two brothers, Melvin Ruppert, Jr. of Dover and Charles Ruppert of East Berlin. She was predeceased by two sisters, Pauline Berkheimer and Kathleen Acker. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc., 306 Harrisburg St., East Berlin, with the Rev. Dr. Eddie Miller, Chaplain at AseraCare Hospice, officiating. Burial will be in East Berlin Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held Friday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
