BOONVILLE -- James W. Allen, 57, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at his home of a heart condition. He was a Baptist. He was a musician and played the drums.
He was a Marine Corps veteran.
He was a member of the Optimist Club, PTA and was active with the Boy and Girl Scouts and Just Say No Club.
Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Sandra; a daughter, Merica Allen of Boonville; a son, John of Boonville; a sister, Violet Schnabel of Evansville; three brothers, Henry and John, both of Evansville, and Virgil of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren, Chelsea Marie and Adam James Allen.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bradley's Colonial Chapel, burial is pending.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Warrick County Humane Society.
