Betty Fischer, 81, of Fulton, passed away peacefully, ending her life's journey, on Saturday, May 19, 2018. She was a lifelong native of Fulton, Missouri. Born on September 24, 1936, to Lewis and Helen (Hill) Plybon, she was the youngest of three siblings. Betty recently celebrated her 60th Wedding Anniversary to her husband. She loved working since her teenage years; selling popcorn and movie tickets at the Fulton Cinema, as a Medical Assistant, and until retirement after 30 years at The Callaway Bank in Fulton. After the birth of her sons, she decided to become a homemaker. She always wore a pretty lapel pin along with a smile. Betty was a selfless and altruistic wife, mother and friend. When asked what she wanted from someone, her reply was to give "just a pretty smile." Her character and positive attitude was evident from the time she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer two years ago. Rather than pity, she chose to love and live every moment she was given, always with grace until God called her home.Betty was born on September 24, 1936 and passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018.
