Marita F. Roeder, 86, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado surrounded by family. Marita was born on April 2, 1931, the daughter of William A. and Marie McCormick in Pottawatomie County, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Gene, and brother Jerry. She is survived by her daughters Jeanie Kett, Terri McClain, and Pat Roeder, grandchildren Joshua, Katie, Zachary, Nicholas, Jon, Benjamin, and Stephanie. Marita was from a large Irish Catholic family, mother of three incredible daughters, volunteer extraordinaire, avid sports fan (except professional basketball), phenomenal seamstress, and was always doing “fancy work", including knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching and making jewelry. A memorial service for Marita will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Community In Christ Lutheran Brethren Church, 12229 W. 80th Ave., Arvada CO, 80005. Reception to follow. Interment at a later date at St. Columbkille Cemetery, Blaine, Kansas.
