Funeral service for Louise (Burnie) Briggs, 82, are set for 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. Leonard Pratt officiating. Burial will be in the Magnolia Gardens Cemetery, Corinth, MS, formerly known as, Forrest Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m., to service time.
Louise passed away. May 24, 2018 at MS Care Center in Corinth, Mississippi.
She was born May 10, 1936 in Rienzi, Alcorn Co., MS. to the late Louis Burnie and Mamie (Killough) Burnie-Price.
Louise was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church until her health illness.
Louise was a retired caregiver for North MS Emergency Children Shelter in Corinth, MS.
She enjoyed flowers, gardening, camping, basketball and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Briggs Sr. who died May 18, 2012 and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Briggs; son, Eddie Briggs Jr.; brothers, Larry (Terri) Price, Doyle (Rita) Price, James (Darlene) Burney; sister Maudie (Ron Beckhem) Raney; her grandchildren, Madison (Josh Hancock) Briggs, Morgan (Daniel) Bishop, Grace Taylor, Sam Taylor; great granddaughter, Adaleigh Bishop; grand furbabies, Tinker Bell and Periwinkle and a host of other family and friends.
