Carolyn Sue Abernathy passed away May 14, 2018, at her home in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born Aug. 3, 1939, in Oklahoma City, the daughter of the late Lester & Una Abernathy. She graduated from Northwest Classen High School and then from The University of Oklahoma. She worked as a librarian for the OKC Metropolitan Library System for over 40 years, where she specialized in children's literature and was known for creative and memorable story times and summer reading programs, through which she touched the lives of countless children in the OKC area. After retirement, she volunteered at the St. Luke's United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She is survived by a sister, two nieces, one nephew, one great-niece, and four great-nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery Historical Chapel.
