Florence H. Rash, age 89, Hampton died Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Pine Ridge Care Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late David and Della Morgan Smith. She was a homemaker and was a member of Hampton Christian Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J. Rash, two brother and three sisters. Survivors include three sons, Ron Rash, Wilmington, NC, Charles "Gene" Rash, Nathen Sinclaire both of Hampton, four grandsons and one granddaughter, two special friends, Liz Street and Jean Blevins both of Hampton, several nieces and nephews also survive.
