He is survived by his children, Debra Bond Dear (Ron Keim) and David Lamar Bond (Debbie Bond);grandchildren, Lindsey Dear, Whitney Dear Reyes (Jon), Kristen Bond Farley (Sean), Ashton Dear, Jordan Dear, and Justin Bond; three great granddaughters, Everly Reyes, Madison Farley and Ryleigh Farley; siblings, Margaret Bond Graham (Frank), Judy German (Gary), James Bond (Jean); and his precious extended family and dear friends.
Tom had a wonderful career in sales and credit and served as a dedicated volunteer at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. The true measure of a person is the way they lead their life in thoughts, words and deeds. Tom was a humble and extremely gentle soul. We have never known anyone who did not like and respect him. He was a lifelong learner at the Christopher Wren and the College of William and Mary, a voracious reader, very patriotic and lover of history. A better conversationalist would be hard to find. Tom's physical presence with us will be greatly missed but he told us he will forever watch over us.
A celebration of his life will be on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00am at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. A reception will follow from 11:00am-12:30pm. Burial will be a private family service at Williamsburg Memorial Park in Williamsburg, VA.
