Jack M. Fahrner was born on September 12, 1924 in Santa Rosa, California, the oldest of Leslie and Iolene Fahrner's three children. The family lived mainly in Keosauqua, Iowa where Jack graduated from high school and then served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945 on the Secretarial Staff of the Corps VII Headquarters. He studied chemistry at the University of Iowa where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1949 and was a member of Phi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He continued his Masters studies at the University of Oregon in Eugene where he taught Chemistry as a Graduate Assistant. Jack started working for the John Deere Chemical Company in 1952 and was transferred to Pryor, OK in 1957 where he met the love of his life, Marilyn. He and Marilyn were married in Tulsa on August 23, 1958 and had two children. Jack was transferred to Dallas, TX in 1968 where the family resided for 30 years. Jack became the Vice President of Finance for Nipak Company which manufactured fertilizers, plastic pipe, explosives and thermal energy. The family was active in the local Methodist Church where Jack served as an usher, and Boy Scout Troop Leader. After retiring, he and Marilyn moved to Owasso, OK to be closer to Marilyn's extensive family. His most treasured life events were always centered around his family, camping, hiking, water and snow skiing, visits to Aggieland and traveling. Touring the U.S. in their RV, and traveling/cruising the world with Marilyn, his sister Betty and her husband Bob were some of Jack's special memories. He also treasured time as a caregiver to his two grandchildren, and traveled as far as Australia to be with them.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Virginia, and is survived by his wife, son, daughter, granddaughter, grandson, and sister Betty Fahrner Hart.
