Carolyn Walker Reed, 76, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018. A celebration of her life will be held at graveside at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Ed Chambless will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Tuesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Ms. Reed, daughter of the late Edward and Bertha Mae Kinchens Walker. She lived in this area most of her life. She was of the Baptist Faith and was employed by Krispy Kreme until she retired. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy White, her grandchildren, Thomas White, Justin Alton White and Carmen Olivia Josey and several brothers and sisters. Above all else, Ms. Reed was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Janice (Mark) Floyd, Jimmy (Laura) White, Billy “Shine Bone” (Patricia) White and Shirley (Clyde) Reed; her grandchildren, Jamie Josey, Amanda Josey, Stephanie Shields, Alexia Frey, Matthew Floyd, Nikki White, Jessica White, Hunter White, Devin Epps and Regan Webb; eleven great grandchildren; her brothers, L. C. (Ethel) Walker and Clayton (Pauline) Walker; several nieces and nephews and her extended family.
