BETHALTO -- Alma E. Krause, 91, died at 11:40 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at Blu-Fountain Manor, Godfrey.
Born April 29, 1910, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Albert S. and Eunice M. Perrine Gimlin.
On April 29, 1933, she married Carl J. Krause in St. Louis. He preceded her in death May 25, 1974.
A nurse for a total of 50 years, she worked at Carlinville Area Hospital, Audrain Hospital in Mexico, Mo., and St. Joseph's Hospital in Alton.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto, Ladies Aid Society, and Zion Lutheran Church Lutheran Women Mission League.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Eunice M. and Richard Weber of Bethalto; a son and daughter-in-law, Arvin and Delores Krause of Great Falls, Mont.; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Carma A. Krause; and a brother, John (Bert) Gimlin.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto, where Pastor Willard Meyer will officiate.
Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the church.
