Death date & place came from an old family Bible, brought to Minnesota from Vermont by Aquila Jewett via wagon train in 1863. The Bible sat in the basement of William Jewett's (grandson of this William) home in Maple Lake, Minnesota for several years and ended up having holes from bookworms and also severe mold damage. The full date of of William's death was unreadable but the year was readable as well as the place. I personally saw this Bible in 1984, however through marriage, this Bible ended up leaving the family and I'm sure was destroyed later as it had no connection for that family. ~Jim Childers (47455615)
