Michael Christel, 66, of Kenosha passed away on Monday May 28, 2018 at Hospice Alliance-Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with brain cancer. Michael was born on March 30, 1952 in Sheboygan, WI, the son of the late Eugene and Carol (Muellenbach) Christel. He was educated in the schools of Kiehl, WI, and later was a member of the U.S. Airforce. Michael was employed by the city of Kenosha and retired from the Kenosha Water Utility after 16 years. He also worked maintenance at Meadowmere Assisted Living where he could use his ability to help others, which was always one of the things he enjoyed doing most. His hobbies included home improvements, photography, going to air shows, watching historical documentaries, was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, but most of all spending time with friends and family especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his children, brothers,sisters, grandchildren, and a great grandchild. A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Kenosha Funeral Services from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM with funeral services to follow at 10:00 AM. Burial at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
