Sharron Hall Hulme, known to his friends as “Pete,” passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at the Ronnie Green Heart Center, NE GA Hospital, Gainesville, GA, at the age of 68 years.
A native of Hartwell, GA, Pete graduated from Hart County High School and the University of Georgia as an avid Bulldog fan. After a 26+ year career as an executive with Sears, Pete relished spending time with family and friends. He was an outdoor enthusiast who loved fishing and hunting and recently moved back to Lake Hartwell to enjoy retirement.
Pete is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gale Dugas Hulme, and sons Scott (Megan) and Taylor (Ashley). He will be forever remembered by his sister, Annette Hulme Johnson, and his brother-in-law, Leon Butler. Pete will be fondly remembered by his nephews, Steven Lee Johnson, Alan Johnson (Allison), Rich Butler (Cathy), David Butler (Joann), as well as his nieces, Renee Curry (Robert), Diane Berninger (Gregg), Julie Telford (Gordon), Susan Brody (Ofer), and Stacey Butler Haferl (Bob).
Pete was predeceased by his mother, Inez Hall Hulme, his father, Julius M. Hulme, his sister, Minda Butler, and his brother-in-law, Olin Johnson Jr. A celebration of Pete’s life will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018, at 1:00 pm, at Hartwell First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Allen Stewart officiating. A reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Scott Hulme, Taylor Hulme, John Osley, Melvin Osley, Andy Leard, Mike Leard and a space saved for the late Tommy Morrison. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hart County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, PO Box 146, Hartwell GA 30643.
