Mr. John W. Adams, 49 years of age, of South Bend, IN, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Friday, June 1, 2018 at his home. John was born on August 31, 1968 in South Bend to Robert Willie Adams and Victoria (Harris) Wolkiewicz.
John was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed his demolition derby car #88 and racing at the South Bend Motor Speedway. He was a life-long resident of South Bend and was self-employed as a mechanic. John was also the proud father of six and grandfather to 16.
John is survived by his parents and his loving children: Brittany (Justin) Greene of Morristown, TN; Justin M. (Casey) Rose of Morristown, TN; Zachary (Atlanta) Adams of Bean Station, TN; Tyler (Brooke) Adams of Rogersville, TN; Chelsea Tetzlaff of Fort Wayne, IN and Gabrielle (Troy) Adams of South Bend, IN. John is also survived by his 16 grandchildren; sister Kristy (Reggie) Wolkiewicz of South Bend; brothers James (Lori) Adams of Plantersville, MS and Dan (Elaina) Wolkiewicz of Granger, IN; former spouses Diane Davis and Rhonda Adams Tetzlaff, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his stepfather Daniel Wolkiewicz.
Services for Mr. John W. Adams will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend.
