Gypsy June (Cox) Quire, 78, Anderson, died April 19, 2007, at Community Northview after an extended illness.

She was born June 28, 1928, in Dunkirk, and lived most of her life in Madison County. She was employed in production at Fisher Guide for 11 years.

She enjoyed bowling, playing card games and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include three children, Donald S. Quire and fiancée, Joyce Bynum of Florida, Jerry E. and Carla Quire of Anderson, and Tyna L. and James Mercer of Anderson; four grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Quire of Georgia, Heather Denny, Jeremy and Jessica Quire, all of Anderson, and Amanda & T.J. Brantlinger of Middletown; seven great-grandchildren, Hannah Quire; Charles Quire of Georgia; Tyler Denny and Mackenzie Denny of Anderson, Brooklyn Brantlinger and Bailey Brantlinger of Middletown and Campbell Quire of Anderson; a special daughter, Barb Funk; special friend, Louise Hobbs; brother-in-law, Freeman Imel of Anderson; a niece, Marna Boblitt of Anderson; and a nephew, Mike Imel of Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie E. Quire, on Aug. 18, 1988; two sisters, Ardella L. Cox and Sally Imel; and a brother, Val "Bus" Cox.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, with Dr. Philip C. Rogers of the Middletown Church of the Nazarene and the Rev. Brian Campbell of the Columbus United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie.

Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Middletown Church of the Nazarene or the American Diabetes Association.
