Eddie served in the U.S. Army Infantry in Greenland during World War II.
He was a child of Frank and Agnes (nee Kaniecki) Lewandowski of Baltimore, Maryland.
He was a brother of Anthony "Andy" F., Marie (Smeton), Stella E. (Wilson), Walter, and Helen M. (Piracci).
He wed once, on 20 December 1954, in Hampton, VA, to the previously twice married Virginia "Virgie" M. Rudy Quinn Kellogg Lewandowski (1893-1971), with whom he shares a tombstone. (See Virginia's linked Find A Grave memorial.)
Eddie passed away, the result of longtime heart problems, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Hampton.
His final arrangements were handled by the Lawrence B. Wood Funeral Home, Hampton.

Edward J. Lewandowski, 44, of 909 Old Buckroe Road, Hampton, died Sunday in Hampton Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness.
He was a native of Baltimore and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Virginia Lewandowski.
A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Phoebus section of Hampton National Cemetery by the Rev. Ralph Sroufe, pastor of Tyler Memorial Methodist Church.
