Herman Paul Grindstaff, age 73, Hillview Health Center (formerly of 404 E. Mill St.), Elizabethton, died Monday, March 5, 2007 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Carter County and a son of the late James and Holly Wallace Grindstaff. Mr. Grindstaff was of the Baptist faith. He had worked at Tennessee Chair Company and retired from MorFlo.
Survivors are three sisters and one brother-in-law, Hazel G. Weaver, Hilda G. Bowers, Freada and Bob Whitson, all of Elizabethton, one niece, Debra Sparks, Jonesborough, two nephews, Keith Weaver, Las Vegas, NV, Brian Whitson, Gray, three great-nephews, Jason and Chris Taylor, Jonesborough, Joshua Weaver, Elizabethton and one aunt, Pearl Cleveland, Gulf Port, FL. Several cousins also survive.
The graveside service for Mr. Grindstaff will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 8 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Bobby Stout officiating
