Frances Anthony "Frank" Constantine, Sr. age 79, 643 Golf Course Drive, Elizabethton, passed away at 5:00 AM Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at his residence following an illness of six months. He was a native of Morristown, New Jersey and the son of the late James Thomas and Elizabeth Sauseline Constantine. He married his wife Pasqualina "Pat" Montelpare Constantine on June 3, 1950. He came to Elizabethton in 1970 with his family and became the Plant Manager of Tri-State Container Corporation. Mr. Constantine was the plant manager for twenty-two years until his retirement in 1992 at which time the company was known as Inland Container. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Mr. Constantine loved to play golf and was a member of the Elizabethton Golf Course where he had served on the board for many years. Mr. Constantine was a U S Navy veteran of World War II having served in Guam and Saipan. He was preceded in death by his son, Frances Anthony "Frank" Constantine, Jr. June 14, 1984. Mr. Constantine was a devout family man and loved all of his family, especially his wife, children, and grandchildren very much.
He is survived by his wife; Pasqualina "Pat" Montelpare Constantine of the home, three daughters, Patricia and her husband Richard Hunnell, Jan and her husband Ron Malezis, Mrs. Virginia Treadway, one son, Robert Constantine and his wife Darlene, five brothers, James, Robert, Edward, Charles, and David Constantine and one sister, Jane Batoff, one half brother, Scott Constantine, three half sisters, Denise Constantine, Terry Knowles, Cathy Cicale, two step-brothers Kevin Conner and Larry Conner and one step sister Louise Teerik, eleven grandchildren; Candida, Matthew, Aarron, Anne, Jessica, Mark, Benjamin, Stephanie, Robert, Jacob, Alex, and two great-grandchildren; Madison and Cooper, and a special former daughter-in-law Penny Constantine.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Constantine will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 9, 2006 in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Dennis Kress and Father Gerard Finnucane officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Church Choir and Jeanne Walker, organist. Entombment will follow the Mass in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Robert Constantine, Charles Constantine, David Constantine, James Constantine, Edward Constantine, Mark Hunnell, Benjamin Treadway, and Robert Treadway.
