Funeral services for Jeremiah S. Barker, 13, Flint, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 in Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Tyler with the Rev. Roger Deerinwter officiating.
Burial was in Flint Cemetery under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler.
Jeremiah died Monday evening, June 17 in an accidental shooting.
He was born Feb. 11, 1978, in Plainfield, Ind., and lived in Flint since November. He was a lifelong resident of Plainfield before moving to Flint. He had completed sixth grade at Bullard Elementary School and was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Billy and Betty Barker, Flint; his mother, Cynthia Pierce, Colorado; grandfather, LeRoy Pierce, Colorado; great-grandmother, Mrs. Allie Mae Logan, Wichita Falls; and several aunts including Sheryl Hall of Crawfordsville, Ind., uncles including Art Martine of Indianapolis and cousins.
Pallbearers included Ev Hall, Pal Hardaway, Joe Cass, Bruce Hamlin, John Barker and Johnny Barker.
