Claude Mack Dilling, Sr. (1894-1964), 70, Palatka, died yesterday in the Veterans Hospital in Lake City after a long illness. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Johnson-Davis Chapel with D. Percy Tompkins and D. J. Richards officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
Mr. Dilling, a native of Charlotte, N.C., was a retired merchant and farmer, coming to Palatka in January. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include three daughters, Miss Rachel Dilling, Mrs. Stanley Zilkanich and Mrs. D. R. Jones, all of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Claude Mack, Jr. and Robert F., both of Palatka; four brothers and two sisters; and seven grandchildren. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd Thursday, 21 May 1964.)
