Following a lengthy illness, Mrs. Virginia Akers, widow of Joseph Akers of Jefferson Street, Lambertville, died in St. Francis Hospital Monday night, Nov. 29, 1943. She was a daughter of the late Cornelius and Rebecca Arnett and was one of the oldest members of Centenary M. E. Church.

Mrs. Akers is survived by two nephews, Harry Akers of Balboa, Canal Zone, and Frank A. Hazen of Trenton.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Horner Funeral Home. Rev. Samuel Latham of the Methodist Church officiated. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Her obituary was published in the Hunterdon County Democrat on Dec. 9, 1943.
