Phillip Arnold Armstrong, 88, of Charlottesville, Va., died on April 2, 2018, at home with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 21, 1929, to the late Clement Arnold Armstrong and Ruth May Manuel. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Ann Armstrong.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Betty Browning Armstrong; a daughter, Angela Bazzarre and her husband, Scott; a grandson, Asher and his wife, Denise; a granddaughter, Amber; and three great grandchildren, Vanessa, Henry, and William.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2018, at Riverview Cemetery in Charlottesville, Va. The Reverend Sidney Craig will be the officiant.
